Organizing a Distribution and Transport Network for Furniture Exports
The Challenge
A growing furniture company needed to build a scalable distribution network from Poland to customers in Germany and Austria. This required securing reliable carriers for both line-haul and last-mile delivery, arranging cross-dock space, and optimizing transport costs.
What We Do
Preparation and distribution of an RFQ to a broad base of carriers.
Mapping of the order lifecycle and information flow in a dedicated workshop.
Negotiation of transport rates and preparation of a full set of contracts.
Support in securing roughly 2,000 square meters of cross-dock space.
Results
The selected operator's offer roughly 13 percent cheaper than the incumbent on key routes.
A tender baseline volume of roughly 60 sets per week.
Roughly 2,000 square meters of cross-dock space secured for further growth.
Summary
The client was guided through the full process of building a distribution network, from mapping the process, through carrier qualification, to rate negotiation and securing warehouse space. The project laid the foundation for expansion into further European markets.
