Information about the personal data we process
Using the Controller's services requires the processing of your personal data. Below you will find details of the categories of people whose personal data we process, the purposes and legal bases of processing, and how long we process the data.
- Personal data of people who register for, or take part in, events we organise or co-organise
We process your personal data in connection with your participation in, or your registration of a third party for, events we organise or co-organise, including training sessions and conferences ("Events"). In this context, we process your personal data for the following purposes:
to conclude and perform the contract for participation in an Event, in particular to ensure the Event runs properly, including by sending you the information you need to take part. The legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract to which you are a party, and our legitimate interest in being able to contact you about matters related to the service.
to defend against or pursue possible claims related to the contract, and to conduct inquiries into breaches of, among other things, the rules of individual Events or the law. The legal basis for processing is the Controller's legitimate interest in being able to defend against or pursue claims.
to comply with the Controller's legal obligations under generally applicable law, including tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering law. The legal basis for processing is compliance with a legal obligation of the Controller, including issuing invoices, recording transactions in the accounting records and meeting other tax obligations.
for the Controller's marketing and PR activities, including informing you about promotions, discounts, services or Events that the Controller organises or takes part in. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in marketing our own services and in sending interested people information about significant events, promotions and legislative changes affecting the e-commerce industry. The Controller may process the personal data of people who take part in an Event, or who register a third party for one, for the entire term of the contract.
for analytical purposes, including analysis of data collected automatically when you use the Website (e.g. Google Analytics cookies and the Facebook Pixel, in particular when you fill in an Event registration form). The legal basis for processing is the Controller's legitimate interest in making its services easier to use and improving their quality and functionality. This data is processed as part of the Controller's ongoing activities for the entire term of the contract. After that, the Controller may continue to process general statistical data stripped of any information relating to individual people.
We received your data, i.e. your first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number and job title (and, if you pay for participation in an Event as part of your business, also your tax ID, company name and business address), when you submitted a completed Event registration form. Every Event registration is stored in our database, which means that your personal data assigned to the order is accompanied by information about the services ordered. Providing personal data is a condition of concluding and performing the contract for participation in an Event. We will process your personal data for the term of the contract with us and for the limitation period for claims arising from it.
- Personal data of other people who contact the Controller, or whom the Controller contacts
We process your personal data if you contact us (by phone, by e-mail or through the contact form) about any matter and you are not our business partner or an employee or associate of our client or business partner, or if we contact you (by phone or e-mail) about any matter. In this context, we process your data for the following purposes:
To answer your questions, including contacting you for that purpose. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in being able to answer questions about our business activities.
To establish cooperation with you, or with your employer or the organisation you represent. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in establishing and maintaining relationships as part of our business activities.
To contact you, or your employer or the organisation you represent, to survey satisfaction with working with Magna Valor. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in being able to verify the quality of our services.
We received your data directly from you. Providing this personal data is voluntary but necessary to receive a reply to your message (if you do not provide it, we will not be able to reply). We will process your personal data until you successfully object or the purpose of processing is achieved. Where we process data to conduct a satisfaction survey, and you, or your employer or the organisation you represent, were a Magna Valor business partner, we will process it for no longer than 6 months after the end of the service period.
- Personal data of Website visitors
When you use our Website, we collect information about your activity on it. The purpose of processing is to analyse your activity on the Website. We process your personal data (IP address or other identifiers and information collected through cookies or similar technologies) for analytical and statistical purposes. We also process it to optimise how the Website works for you (recognising your device so that the Website is displayed properly and adapted to your individual needs). Your rights regarding the processing of personal data
You have the following rights regarding the processing of your personal data:
The right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data where the legal basis for processing is the Controller's legitimate interest. If your objection is successful, we will stop processing the personal data for that purpose. Where we process personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
The right of access to your personal data, i.e. the right to know what personal data about you we process and to receive a copy of that data.
The right to request rectification of personal data about you that is inaccurate. Taking into account the purposes of processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by providing a supplementary statement.
The right to request erasure of your personal data if we no longer need it for the purposes we told you about, if your consent to processing has been successfully withdrawn (unless we have another legal basis for processing the data), if the data has been processed unlawfully, or if erasure is required by a legal obligation that applies to us.
The right to request restriction of processing of your personal data if you contest its accuracy (for a period enabling us to verify it), if processing is unlawful and you oppose erasure and request restriction instead, if we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of processing but you need it to establish, pursue or defend claims, or if you have objected to processing (until it is determined whether the Controller's legitimate grounds override yours).
The right to data portability, i.e. to have your data transferred to another controller, where we process your personal data on the basis of your consent or to perform a contract concluded with us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by e-mail at contact@magnavalor.eu or in writing at: ul. Wyspa Słodowa 7, 50-266 Wrocław, Poland.
Your data is not subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
The security of personal data is a priority for the Controller. However, if you believe that the Controller's processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for personal data protection, i.e. the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).
