In this anniversary episode of Rozmowy Logistyków, Piotr Skobało and Adam Sobolewski look back on two and a half years of running the podcast. They discuss their ideas for topics, formats, and the frequency of future episodes, and ask listeners what they'd like to learn about next.

WHAT ACTUALLY GOT LISTENED TO

Hard statistics and the hosts' own subjective impressions don't always line up — hence the decision to check the data against a direct question to listeners. Three episodes stood out most over the past year: #59 on the scale of logistics at LPP, "3 COO Challenges" on the role of the operations director, and "7 Ways to Develop Your Logistics Team" — the common thread is cross-cutting topics about career and people management, not narrow specialization. A years-long evergreen: the episode on pay and recruitment processes in logistics, still in the top 5 despite aging numbers (a candidate for an annual remake with an inflation adjustment). One host's personal favorite is "From Planner to Director" — the episode that drew the most comments, precisely for its honesty about the personal costs of career growth, not just its highlights.

CHOOSING GUESTS: NOT JUST THE BIGGEST NAMES

The philosophy behind picking guests deliberately isn't limited to people with the biggest reach or the biggest companies — guests from adjacent fields have appeared too: purchasing, communication, warehouse design. An open question to listeners: would it be more interesting to hear an operational specialist talk about their day-to-day work, or the CEO of a large company sharing a management-level perspective on the supply chain function?

FORMAT ON THE TABLE: LENGTH, FREQUENCY, LANGUAGE

The current rhythm is one episode every two weeks, alternating between a substantive conversation between the hosts and a one-on-one interview with a guest (so as not to overwhelm the guest with two voices at once). The 30-40 minute length was a deliberate choice matched to one host's own listening style — he rarely manages to get through longer formats, despite knowing marathon shows like Lex Fridman or Joe Rogan. Under consideration: splitting into longer analytical episodes (every two weeks) and shorter, weekly 10-minute "capsules" with distilled knowledge or current commentary. A separate question concerns English-language episodes (so far occasional, with guests like Jim Tompkins or Michael Silhavy) — would switching fully to English discourage current Polish listeners, or would it open the podcast up to a wider audience?

OPEN QUESTIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY

Instead of another dose of industry knowledge, this episode is a direct invitation to discuss: which topics interest listeners most, what kind of guests they'd like to hear, what episode frequency and length works best, and whether the podcast should experiment with English. The answers in the comments under this episode will directly shape the coming seasons of Rozmowy Logistyków.
